How this project was financed

In 1995 Beulah had an unusual inspiration - one which evolved from her profound desire to fulfil her mother's dream. To externalize her deepest emotions she painted on stones - a rare medium.

She had never wanted to sell these works of art but she was convinced into holding a personal exhibition of her creations called "Le Pietre dell'Anima- Stones of the Soul".

From this exhibition held in the wonderful courtyard of Banca Popolare Commercio e Industria in Milan, Italy, Beulah raised some of the funds to finance her project.

However, a lot more was needed to accomplish her goal.

November 1996 was to see a miracle. Beulah and her husband decided to auction a fine collection of family jewellery through the famous auction house Sotheby's. The entire proceeds went to "Home of Charlotte's Children Foundation".

Putting these funds together, Beulah now had enough to make her mother's dream a reality. A Home was built for underpriviledged children. The official opening took place 5 September 1998.
